Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicle Maintenance Department (TNMVMD) has been established and entrusted with the responsibility to look after and maintain various vehicles related to the Departments of Government of Tamil Nadu. The department has proposals to open units in various places.
All the Government Vehicles are controlled and governed by Tamil Nadu Vehicle control except Police, Highway, Public Works and Rural Works Department.

Stipend :-
- Graduate Apprentice – Rs.4984/-
- Technician Apprentice – Rs.3542/-
Qualification :-
Graduate Apprentices :
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline.
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
- Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
Technician (Diploma) Apprentices :
- A Diploma in Engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.
- A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

Graduate Apprentice :
- Mechanical Engineering/ Automobile Engineering – 18 Posts
Technician (Diploma) Apprentices :
- Mechanical Engineering/ Automobile Engineering – 61 Posts
Age Limit :-
- Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
Selection Process :-
- Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is interested with the task of preparation of shortlist from the online application data.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines.
- Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered Email id. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at Chennai.

- Last date for enrolling in NATS portal – 24.02.2021
- Last date for applying TNMVMD – 01.03.2021
- Declaration of Shortlisted list – 04.03.2021
